Expertise, genuine hospitality, progressive thinking, and familial community spirit are the cornerstones of our business – and always have been. Samnaun has asked a lot of my lovely (late) wife Carolina and me, especially from 1959 (wedding) to the opening of Samnaun ski arena (1979). We rose to the challenges and made a decisive contribution to the development of Samnaun valley. The economic upturn and development above all in winter tourism was supported by the duty-free status and laid the foundations for Samnaun and the Hangl businesses success today. Progress comes with time – but you have to ensure you’re not trailing behind. Especially in today’s world, technology and progress seem to be crashing over us. I’m delighted that my family has been able to ride the wave while never forgetting what’s most important: sensing what our customers need.
